2012 Saint Agnes Employees Credit Union New Member Sweepstakes
OFFICIAL RULES
/ NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
ELIGIBILITY: The
Saint Agnes Employees Federal Credit Union (SAEFCU) New Member
Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of
the U.S., and members of good standing who join SAEFCU between
10/1/12 and 11/30/12, and who are 18 years of age or older at
the time of entry. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible
entries received. Void where prohibited. Officers, directors,
and employees of SAEFCU and members of their immediate families
(spouse, parent, child, sibling) and persons residing in their
households are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or to win the
Prize. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law and is
subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and
regulations. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to
accept the decision of the judge(s) as final in all matters
relating to the Sweepstakes.
TIMING: The Sweepstakes Promotion Period begins at 7:30 a.m. EDT on
10/1/12 and ends at 2:00 p.m. EST on 11/30/12 (the “Promotion
Period”).
OFFICIAL RULES: For a copy
of official Sweepstakes rules, mail your request before 11/30/12 with
a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the correct amount of postage
to: Saint Agnes Employees Federal Credit Union, “Family Contest,”
Attn: Marketing Department,
720-E Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21228. Questions
concerning any aspect of this Sweepstakes will be resolved by SAEFCU’s
Board of Directors, and any such resolution will be final.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By
participating in the Sweepstakes,
each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these
Official Rules.
METHOD OF ENTRY: All new members in good standing who join Saint Agnes
Employees Federal Credit Union (SAEFCU) from 10/1/12 through 11/30/12
will be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize; one entry per
person total. SAEFCU members who joined previous to the Promotion
Period are not eligible to enter except by using the alternate entry
method. The drawing will be made by the SAEFCU Marketing department on
12/7/12 from available eligible entries, including entries generated
by SAEFCU for new SAEFCU memberships opened within the Promotional
Period. The winner will be selected by a random drawing from all
fully-completed and timely-submitted entries. The drawing will be
conducted by a judge or judges designated by SAEFCU.
ALTERNATE ENTRY METHOD: To win the Prize, you are not required to
purchase goods or services or pay any money to SAEFCU. You may enter
the Sweepstakes at any time during the Promotion Period.
Limit: one entry per person.
You may only enter one time; duplicate entries will be
destroyed. To submit an alternate entry, mail one (1) original
hand-written 3” by 5” index card with your contact information (first
and last name; suffix, if any; address; city; state; ZIP code; phone
number; and e-mail address, if any) and the words “SAEFCU Family
Contest”; mail the card in an envelope to: Saint Agnes Employees
Federal Credit Union, “Membership Sweepstakes,” Attn:
Marketing Department, 720-E Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21228.
All entries must be original entries; no mechanical reproductions of
entries are permitted. Only one (1) alternate entry per person will be
accepted. Alternate entries must be postmarked during the Promotion
Period and received by SAEFCU’s Marketing Department before 12/7/12. SAEFCU assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete,
stolen, misdirected, illegible, or postage-due mail entries. Entrants
may be considered ineligible to win the Sweepstakes Prize if, in its
sole discretion, SAEFCU determines that said entrant is attempting to
undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by deception or
other unfair playing practices.
DRAWING: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random
drawing on or about 3:00 p.m. EDT on 12/7/12 from among all eligible
entries received. Decision of SAEFCU is final. Potential Winner will
be notified by e-mail and/or telephone by using the information
provided on his or her submitted entry form, including entries
generated by SAEFCU for new members in good standing who join SAEFCU
during the Promotion Period. The Grand Prize will be awarded. Odds of
winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received. All
entries become the property of SAEFCU and will not be returned.
PRIZE: The Grand Prize is one (1) KindleŽ e-book reader; valued at
$80.00 USD. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. No substitutes or
transfer of the Grand Prize are permitted. Amazon, Kindle, and the
Amazon Kindle logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its
affiliates. The Kindle reader is given away on behalf of SAEFCU.
Amazon is not a sponsor of this Sweepstakes. The Winner is responsible
for the payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes
imposed on the Prize and may be required, as a condition of receiving
a Prize, to provide SAEFCU with his or her Social Security Number so
that an appropriate report may be filed with the appropriate taxing
authorities. The Winner is not permitted to transfer or change his or
her Prize, and is not permitted to receive cash in substitution of his
or her Prize. Entrant needs not be present to win. Prize winner will
be contacted by e-mail and/or telephone and will have seven (7)
business days to respond via e-mail, by telephone, or in person. If
SAEFCU is unable to contact a Winner within seven (7) business days
from the first notification attempt, that Winner may be disqualified
and an alternate Winner may be selected. Any notification of Prize
returned as "undeliverable" will result in the disqualification of the
Winner and the awarding of that Prize to an alternate Winner.
GENERAL RULES:
All federal, state, and local laws apply. All federal, state and
local taxes are the sole responsibility of Winner. SAEFCU is not
responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete,
illegible or destroyed Sweepstakes entries. SAEFCU may prohibit
an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes. Eligible
entries become the property of SAEFCU and will not be returned.
No correspondence will be entered into except with potential Winner.
No more than one (1) Prize will be awarded.
CONSENT TO
PUBLICITY AND RELEASE: Except where prohibited, participation in
the Sweepstakes constitutes a potential Winner’s consent to the
use of a potential Winner’s name, likeness, biographical
information, city/town and state for promotion purposes in any
media without further payment or consideration. You agree to
release and hold harmless SAEFCU, its employees, directors,
agents, representatives, and affiliates from any and all claims
of any kind arising directly or indirectly from any publication
of the Winner List for the Sweepstakes.
USE OF INFORMATION: Any information collected will be used solely for
the purposes of this Sweepstakes and will not be shared with or sold
to any third party.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, each
entrant agrees that SAEFCU and its officers, directors, employees and
representatives shall have no liability whatsoever to the entrant or
others for injuries, losses or damages of any kind or nature arising
out of or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or the
acceptance, possession, use or enjoyment of any Prize, including, but
not limited to, any travel-related injuries or damages. SAEFCU is not
responsible for lost, late, mutilated, or illegible entries nor for
electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or
destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Sweepstakes
materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic,
computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate
transmission of or failure to receive information by SAEFCU due to
technical problems on the Internet, at any Web site or any combination
thereof. SAEFCU is not responsible for any injury or damage to the
entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from
the download of any materials related to the Sweepstakes. If for any
reason the Sweepstakes information cannot be accessed online,
including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or
any other causes beyond the control of SAEFCU that corrupts or affects
the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct
of the Sweepstakes, SAEFCU reserves the right in its sole discretion
to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.

request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the correct amount
