As required by the
National Credit Union Association, our Federal regulators, we have implemented
stronger password criteria for CU Online.
Here are some suggestions to make
this transition a little smoother.
- Passwords must be between 8 &
30 characters.
- When selecting a password, pick
at least 3 of the following combination of characters:
Upper Case Letters (A-Z)
Lower Case Letters (a-z)
Numbers (0-9)
Special Characters -
? ~ @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) +
Examples:
July1964
HelpMe!
a$iL1998
Additional Tips
- Make sure you are using at
least 8 characters.
- Make sure you are using
at least 3 of the character combinations listed above.
- Mare sure your Caps Lock is not
on.
- Take your time
when entering your password. This is a new process and will take some time
to get used to.
- Do not use “Auto
Complete” to save your passwords in Internet Explorer. If you
have done this in the past, make sure you check the password field when logging
in. If there are “dots” in the password field, delete them and
enter the password yourself.
- To permanently delete passwords
you may have saved in the past: In Internet Explorer, go to Tools->Internet
Options. Click on the General tab. Under Browsing History, click Delete and
Delete Passwords.
